Using iSync with your Palm Handheld

If you're using the Mac's iCal and Address Book, you'll use Apple's iSync in conjunction with the HotSync Manager. Apple provides support and instruction on this so here, I lead you to Apple's pages.
  • iCal syncs to the Palm Handheld's Datebook and To Do app.
  • Address Book syncs to the Palm Handheld's Address Book.
  • However, this combination does not provide a Mac-side app to read your Memo Pad notes.

Deb's Tips

  • If you have not yet installed your Palm Handheld software and don't wish to use the Palm Desktop becuase you'll use Apple's iCal and Address Book instead, you can do a Custom install, not choosing Palm Desktop.
  • What if you want to set up iSync and HotSync Manager so that the contacts are synced from Address Book, but Calendar and To Do items are synced from Palm Desktop? You can learn how in the Apple technote, iSync: How to Use With Palm Desktop.
